Material on Loan explores post-tensioned timber assemblies as a design for deconstruction method. 

The instillation is a demonstrator of a compression tensioned woodstack structure that may be rapidly assembled and taken down. The structure may then be viewed as a temporary material bank - when the structure needs to be removed, the materials may be rapidly extracted instead of wasted in traditional demolition practices. 

The instillation is made from shipping crates, contruction site waste, and chair leg offcuts.
